Governor, Interior Minister meet: complete harmony between MQM, PPP, says Ebad

KARACHI, March 03: The Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, has said that there is complete harmony and understanding between Muttahida Qaumi Movement(MQM) and Pakistan People's Party. He said both the coalition parties in the government are marching ahead on the issues of local governments and all other related matters with reconciliation as per guidance of President Asif Ali Zardari and Quaid-e-Tahreek Altaf Hussain.

The Interior Minister Rehman Malik met Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan at Governor House Wednesday evening during which local government matters, obtaining law and order and other issues of importance came under consideration. The governor appreciated the efforts of Interior Minister for smooth and better relationship between the two parties.

In the meeting they reviewed the execution of municipal affairs and the ongoing legislation process for local governments. They expressed the confidence that process of reconciliation and consultation will continue with success.

Rebutting the apprehensions being expressed in this regard, they described these as baseless and it was made clear that both the parties are in full agreement on process of reconciliation to carry the fruits of government efforts to the common man and for promotion of democratic process in the country, stability of institutions and this would be ensured at every level.

They pointed out that these efforts have produced positive results and would remain result-oriented for the country and people in future as well.
