1. Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, the Governor Sindh has taken concerted efforts in different sectors, which yielded positive results and benefited people in many ways. 2. Restoration of daily life activities in Karachi, world’s 7th mega city and hub of Pakistan’s economic, cultural and political and intellectual activities, maintaining of law and order during Eid’s, Rabiul Awal, Muharram ul Haram and other occasions and personal visits to religious place, markets and routes of rallies to make atmosphere more conducive. 3. Different efforts to end urban – rural divided and reduce poverty, to improve agriculture and irrigation system and to promote industrial activities in order to create job opportunities. 4. Comprehensive Master Plan for Karachi and instructions for master plans of other cities of the Sindh province. 5. Revival of New Malir Housing project, which provided relief to 32,000 allots. 6. Revival of Gulzar-e-Hijri (Scheme – 33), pending since decades.7. Beautiful and unique beach park, Bagh Ibne Qasim and Kothari parade8. Streamlining of traffic and transport system in order to provide relief to the people, re routing of mass transit, public transport and providing alternative routes leading to hospitals.9. Plan to Revive of Karachi Circular Railway with estimated cost of one billion dollars.10. Special attention to sports, culture, journalism and literature; increase in grant for press clubs of the province and Karachi Arts Council, setting up of Kocha–i–Saqafat and efforts for Pak–India cricket matches, SAF Football championship and revival of theatre and film. 11. Legend Trust for national heroes, provision of sustainable help to them anf their families. 12.Holding of separate examination for ninth and 10th classes. 13. Legislation and practical steps to eliminate Karo–Kari. 14. Initiating special plan for setting up automobile city, sports city, timber market, iron market and truck stand from busy areas of the city. 15. Comprehensive plan for setting up more Subzi Mandis. 16. Brining reforms in medico – legal sector, first time during last 60 years. 17. Regulating blood transfusion system. 18. North Karachi Children Hospital; the pending project made functional. 19. Health facilities through special campaigns in remote areas. 20. North Karachi Mono–Technique School, Allama Shabbir Usmani Road, Five Star Chowrangi and Nagan Chowrangi. 21. Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad gave new dimension to his post by conducting visits of different areas of the city, meeting with people without protocol, providing them on the spot relief and opening gates of Governor’s House for ordinary people. 22. Launching Governor’s website. 23. Concerted efforts for economic revival and industrial promotion regular contact with traders and industrialists, brining cost of doing business in accordance with other areas of the region, provision of water, power and special steps for revival of industrial infrastructure. 24. Setting up Dow Medical University, his alma mater. 25. Billions of rupees spent on research, academic and development projects in public sector universities. 26. Reforms in educational boards. 27. Restoration of peace at educational institutions, implementing code of conduct and ensuring attendance of teachers and students. 28. Removal of encroachments and taking steps for revival of cottage industry zones in Landhi, Orangi and Baldia. 29. Continuous monitoring of progress on development packages for Karachi and Hyderabad, flyovers, underpasses, widening of roads and work on Lyari expressway, northern bypass and other projects. 30. Elimination of no–go-areas in Karachi and destroying hideouts of bandits in Shah Belo (forest) and practical steps to end underworld and dens of gambling and drugs. 31. Efforts to provide healing touch to the families whose near and dear ones have been are missing since 1990s. 32. Regular visits of foreign investors and commencement of international events, almost in every sector. 33. Plan to set up provincial Ulema Board to promote religious harmony. 34. Efforts for inter faith harmony. 35. Few years ago investors were considering shifting their, business from Karachi but now almost everyone wants to setup industry here. 36. Number of booming industries has been increased form five to 100 in Nooribabd while progress has been made to promote industrial activities in Kotri, Thatta and Badin districts. 37. All five star hotels in Karachi were full of capacity; investors are working for more five star hotels. 38. Freedom of Information ordinance was promulgated first time in the province while ordinances for polythene bags, price control and consumer rights were also issued. 39. Disaster Management Authority. 40. Upgradation of Financial Street of the country; I.I. Chundrigar. 41. A search committee was set up for appointment of vice chancellors of the universities. 42. Master plans under Vision 2020 for all universities. 43. Guidance Centres for the students and programmes for enhancing their communication skills. 44. More than 94 projects of Rs.12.66 billion launched for the universities. 45. Coordination Committee for cooperation among different federal and provincial institutions to provide civic facilities to the citizens. 46. More than 250 candidates registered for PhD while 900 students completing doctorates this year. 47. Fitness of vehicles through private sector. 48. Steps for mechanized removal of garbage to landfill sites. 49. Upgradation of Police Hospitals and provision of anti–hepatitis vaccines. 50. Steps for E–Policing, Community policing. 51. Launching independence prosecution service. 52. Jail reforms and legal assistance to women prisoners. 53. Extending cooperation to farmer’s associations and projects of agriculture and irrigation. 54. Launching health policy, first time in the province, setting up new medical colleges and universities and providing training to nursing and paramedics. 55. Making record of existing educational facilities in the province first time. 56. Revival of Karachi Mass transit project, work on six different corridors. 57. Rules for regulating private educational and medical institutes. 58. Promotion of information technology, setting up call centres and introduction of IT in government offices. 59. Survey of lands and computerization of land record.
